And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my Extraordinary playlist and found some music to add to your own collection.
Do you like any of these artists? Have you even heard of them? Which songs do you like? Will you be adding them to your own playlist? Inquiring minds want to know. And by inquiring minds, I mean me.
Lit*er*al*ly Ororo is free today. But if you enjoyed this post, you can tell me that my writing is fucking awesomesauce by pledging a future subscription. You won't be charged unless I enable payments.
Thirty Seconds to Mars: I got a chance to meet Jared Leto before his band blew up. Is he just as hot in person, yes? Are his eyes really as blue and round as they appear in photos? Yes. I absolutely LURVED him in that show “My So-Called Life'“, so getting a chance to meet “Jared Catalano” was fabbity-fab. They’re also on my Top 10 favorite bands list. When they toured with Linkin Park (before Chester passed, may he rest in peace), I about lost. My damn. Mind. That concert was fucking EPIC.
Tina Turner: Never saw her in concert, but we got to see “Tina Turner: The Musical” at ASU Gammage in October and it. was. FABULOUS.
Tommee Proffitt: Really lurved this version of the Linkin Park song from a female.
U2: Little trivia for you… Batman Forever is my favorite Batman movie in the franchise. Val Kilmer’s lips just did it for me in that cowl. And the way he said, “The Bat Signal is not a beeper,” in his “Batman voice” was just perfect. I also lurved Chris O’Donnell as Robin. He still looks hawt, but back then, he was H-A-W-T.
Vanilla Ice: Got to see him perform once in a small venue. A guy I went to high school with opened up for him. That was wild to see. Also, I saw his movie “Cold as Ice” twice when it come out in the movie theater. Completely bombed, but I didn’t care. This muthafuckah was THE HAWTEST white rapper I’d ever seen.
Whitney Houston: I remember Mr. Ex and I both being stunned when the R&B radio station announced her death. We were in the car driving somewhere and we were both like, “WHAT? Is this for real?” So unreal.
Yes yes and yes to the Wonders (aka the Onee-ders). That movie and soundtrack are true classics.
I got to see U2 front row at Staples Center... and Mysterious Ways was an absolutely RELIGIOUS experience... this was pre-epilepsy... Oh, what a glorious life. Sigh.
